You can get detailed driving instructions right fr
om your house by typing in your address in the lower left corner of the window as shown above. Click the Get Directions button and a list of turns and directions appears. You can print this list to take with you in the car when you come. This will get you part of the way, however even Mapquest is incorrect on how to really find us.
.
Most people know where the Black Angus, restaurant is. If your car in on Samish Way heading north and Black Angus is on your right hand side then you will take the road Consolidation to the left. (Hint, it is the same access road for going to Travel Lodge Motel. Consolidation then butts into 34th. St. At this juncture, take another left and follow 34th. St. for about a half block.
This will bring you to Allen Ave. which only goes one way - to your right and up a hill. Do not try to second guess getting to our location by taking the shortened section of Byron St. at the south end of 34th. You can only access us via Allen Ave. (The problem stems from when the city platted for Byron St. to continue beyond our house. Unfortunately, they never got around to completing the street thus we got an address but not a street!)
The small hill at the beginning of Allen is black-toped for its length (about 100 yards). Make sure you turn to your left at the top of the hill. A newer house has recent been built at this juncture and it has the 3201 address (of course it is 3201 Allen not 3201 Byron).
Once you make the left hand turn, you'll know that you are going the correct way as the road changes from a blacktop surfacing to a gravel/dirt finish. From the top of the hill, to our residence studio, it is only 1/10th. of a mile - basically a big U turn. When you run out of road you will be right before our carport.
Once you arrive at our address your first choice will be to park behind one of the cars in the carport.

Your second choice would be to park just to the south side of our boulder arrangement. The only problem to this is that if we are to to any outdoor photography, then you will probably need to move your vehicle so that it doesn't appear in the background of your pictures.
