I've had a camera in my hands for the last fifty plus years. As a commercial studio photographer for thirty or so of those years, I worked with international companies and shot all over the world. In today's quickly changing world I have turned my lens on the outside world as a reaction to changing climates and attitudes.
After nearly thirty years as a commercial food photographer, I stepped away from the studio lights and into a new chapter in health care video production. Though rewarding, that shift left a creative space unfilled — one I now return to through fine art landscape photography.
My camera is once again my companion, but this time, it points toward something quieter. I’m not chasing spectacle. I’m drawn instead to the humble, overlooked places: a lone tree catching morning light, a weathered fence tracing the rise of a golden hill, an anonymous creek reflecting the changing sky.
I photograph these scenes not just for their beauty, but for their presence — their ability to slow us down, to remind us of what remains steady in a world that often feels anything but. These are not the images of postcards or screen savers. They are meditations. They are meant to be lived with — on walls, in rooms — offering stillness, memory, and place.
Living in Northern California, I’m surrounded by grandeur, but I find my inspiration in its quieter corners. In returning to photography, I’m not seeking recognition; I’m seeking resonance. I hope my work invites viewers to see differently — to feel something lasting in what might otherwise be passed by.
I will add any shows, assignments and developments of interest on this page in the future.
Thank you!
